Q1 2025 Highlights
As we push through 2025, we’re excited to share some key milestones, achievements, and momentum-building moments from across our company. From new partnerships to operational wins, Q1 set the tone for what’s shaping up to be a strong and focused year. Here’s a look at the highlights that are driving us forward.
January
After the cancellation of their 2023 tour and the parting of ways with their bassist, Rainbow Kitten Surprise shocked fans with their first album release in six years, Love Hate Music Box in May of 2024. Although RKS supporters were excited to see this group back in action, it was hard to determine whether new music would continue to be released. However, followers were once again happily surprised in January to hear that Rainbow Kitten Surprise would not only be releasing new music but would again go on tour. Just eight days into the new year the band posted about their upcoming appearance at the Bonnaroo festival and, later in the month, announced their 2025 tour “Thanks For Coming.”
One of our best sellers from Q1 was the Phish LP on LP 05 and 06 pre-order. In the fifth and sixth installments of the LP on LP vinyl series, listeners get to experience live performances from Nassau Coliseum in 1998 and Ruoff Music Center in 2021. Phans are always excited for new releases from Phish but the colors of the Fishmarket Stew Pressing and Cymbals Are Grand Pressing add extra color to customers’ turntables.
February
As February began, so did the season of NASCAR with Hendrick Motorsports immediately getting back to their winning ways. Chase Elliott (#9) won the first Clash of the 2025 season but it was William Byron (#24) who grabbed the headlines when he won his second Daytona 500 in back to back years.
In addition to Byron’s win there was another exciting announcement coming from this year’s Daytona 500. JR Motorsports, whose current form was founded in 2007, had primarily performed in the Xfinity series and the Craftsman truck series. That was until Justin Allgaier (Xfinity Series #7), sponsored by Chris Stapleton’s Traveller Whiskey, took to the the Cup Series race in what would be JR Motorsports’ Cup debut. Although Byron won the race overall, Allgaier finished in ninth place and showcased a bright future for Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s motor club.
In other international and domestic news, the hard rock legends of AC/DC announced their 2025 tour, Power Up, hitting venues in Europe and the United States. For fifty three years, AC/DC has blessed the world with their ability to continuously release new music, sell out stadiums, and provide movies with rocking soundtracks. Finally, after nearly ten years since their last tour, fans worldwide will have the opportunity to witness Angus Young and the band perform live through August 2025
March
Another announcement from 2024 that rolled into this year was the launch of the Rush 50 Box Set. For half a century the Canadian rock band has helped change the dynamics of the rock genre and now fans can experience it all in the legendary Super deluxe bot set. This exclusive box set features selections from every studio, live and deluxe reissue album. It also includes 20 lithographs that depict one song from each studio album.
Although this box set was announced in 2024, it was in March of 2025 when the product official entered our warehouse and is now in stock and ready to ship.
Another great release that reached our warehouse in March was PARTNEXTDOOR & Drake’s collaboration album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U. The album, which debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 in its open week, added to the long list of Drake’s historic Billboard appearances and tied him with Jay-Z for the most Billboard leading albums among rappers. In addition to adding to Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s success, this album features a new face to the R&B genre in Houston’s Pimmie.
